Bro Tommy Melot and his wife from Guthrie, OK were here with us today. Bro Tommy brought a very pointed and timely message.

Question: What is the difference between the church and a wax museum?

Answer: One has life and the other has looks. 

Jesus taught us in Matthew 24 that because iniquity would abound, the love of many shall wax cold. In many churches today, there are people who appear to look “real”, yet they are nothing more than wax statues. Frozen in time, they are part of a collection in a dusty old wax museum, sitting day after day in their padded pews and on their platform thrones, doing nothing but having a look and a form of religion.  

That is how it is today in many churches. People who have left their first love sit around in the half empty, museum-like “church buildings”, time-frozen by the traditions of men, proudly displaying their antiquated artifacts, talking about the good old days when they used to have life among them. All the while the world around them is dying lost, yet they cant see outside of their gated walls and high fences. 

God has a solution. The fire of the Holy Ghost will melt the wax and give new life. The Bible says in Psalms 39:3-4, 7  I felt a fire burning inside, and the more I thought, the more it burned, until at last I said:  "Please, LORD, show me my future. Will I soon be gone?” ... "What am I waiting for? I depend on you, Lord!” (CEV)

God is wanting to melt the cold wax and breath in new life! We are so thankful for freedom in Spirit. We are thankful that the wax is removed and we are free to move around and reach a lost and dying world. The dead dusty museum days are long over for us! Praise the Lord!

After the morning meeting, many of the saints conducted two services at the Forest Glen Health Campus. God's sweet Spirit  moved in a special way and the saints came back to the evening meeting charged up in spirit!  ..... and the fire fell!
