| On Saturday, April
19, 2003, we had a Children's Days Out. The girls went with their
mothers and other sister chaperones to the UPPER VALLEY MALL to
"shop till you drop"! Everyone knows that ladies love to shop! And
shop they did! After that, they went to one of the saints home to
have "girl talk" as the mothers were giving godly advise, eat Lee's
Fried Chicken (yummy) and receive a spiritual devotional book as a
keep sake. The boys went
with their dads and other brother chaperones to Yellow Springs for
their day out. They went to one of the saints home where they rode
horses, cracked bull whips, chased around live chickens, played
games and had a grill out!
It has often been said that the
church is no stronger than the strength of its families. While there
are many things in life we need to get done in our busy schedules
(especially on Saturdays), it is important to spend time together
with our children. Time is passing quickly and we need to use it
wisely in redeeming the time. We only get one chance to raise our
children. May God give us wisdom in knowing how to make the most of
it and to form long and lasting relationships. |
