There are many
people missing out on the greatest gift God has given mankind,
fellowship with Himself, because they have never been
told. Some of us who are God’s children are not able to explain it
to them, because we don’t understand it fully ourselves. Several
years ago, the Lord began to burden my heart about this issue and,
as a result, the vision for this book was born. As I began to
meditate on the idea, I had no clue where to begin. I covered the
situation with prayer, letting God know I desired to do this for the
advancement of His Kingdom, and still I had nothing. But, God
seemed to speak Habakkuk 3:2 to my heart, “Though the vision
tarry, wait for it for it will surely come,” and God has used
this waiting time as a teaching time for me. As I began this study,
I realized how many things I didn’t know about salvation and some
things that I thought I understood began to not make sense.
Amazingly, God has brought reference material and people into my
life at just the right time to answer every question that I had
regarding this subject. He has given me a clear, solid picture of
the Plan of Redemption. For this, I am thankful. Now, I feel that
it is time to “write the vision that he may run that readeth it.”
Also, I understand there are people who are not enjoying the
kind of relationship God desires to have with them as Christians
because they are thinking wrongly about who God is and what His
character is like. These people have my utmost empathy for I was
one of them at one time.
The purpose of
this book is to study God’s plan of salvation in chronological
order, starting with why God made man in the first place and
continuing through “The Fall” in the Garden, and how we are restored
back to fellowship with Him through Jesus’ death. Because of the
wide range in audience, I am not able to explain some of the
concepts as fully as I would have liked in order to keep the reading
simple. Should the reader have a question concerning any issue, I
would be more than willing to explain it more thoroughly. I trust
this book will be helpful in leading someone into the kind of
relationship God desires to have with them.
