Today, we gathered with saints to worship God in spirit and in
truth. As has been our practice from time to time, members of our
Gospel Outreach Ministry team spent Sunday morning worshipping with
other saints in other assemblies. Part of our burden for outreach is
to tear down divisional walls that have been built by man. These
walls include walls built because of doctrinal differences, personal
disagreements and misunderstandings, different religious customs and
traditions, and even racial distinctions. While we stand strongly
against an ecumenical spirit of overlooking sin and wrong doing, we
believe that God has called us to “reach our hands in fellowship to
every blood-washed one”. Instead of just singing about it, we have
decided to put it into practice. Our efforts in this area to date
have been fruitful in that we have seen saints from different
“groups” and backgrounds come together at the outreach meetings for
a common cause, i.e., the salvation of souls. God is doing some
wonderful things these days and we are thankful to be a small part
of this moving of the Spirit. |
