Report: Aug 27, 2006 This was the third in a series of discipleship classes. Bro Joe Coons spoke on the two witnesses, the Word of God and the Spirit of God. He showed how they are “witnesses” who bear record of the truth. They can be grieved and even rendered useless (dead) if we do not allow them to operate freely in our lives. In a sinner’s life, they are grieved by sin and rejection, yet they continue to convince and convict the sinner of his need for salvation. In a Christians’ life, they are free to operate and they lead, guide and comfort the child of God.  Bro Joe provided many examples from the New and Old Testament of individuals who both grieved the two witnesses and of others who allowed them to have their rightful place.   We had visitors who came out to hear the Word of God. We are thankful that in every service that has been held in South Charleston, Ohio, to date, there have been visitors who have come to the meetings. We are assured that God is working and it is our desire to be faithful to all that He had called us to do. Please remember these dear souls in prayer and pray for us as well.
