Sunday Morning Meeting The Spring Outreach meeting is over and we are back at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel for another Sunday service. Despite the smaller crowd this morning, as some folks are away, the service was still a blessing. Bro Dale Rude spoke on the woman at the well from John Chapter 4. Here we see a woman all alone and no doubt “despised.” She was an outcast of society because of the life she had lived. Yet Jesus looked beyond all that to see the need in her heart. He broke all the barriers to reach out to her. It was uncommon for a Jew to speak to a Samaritan in that day, or even a man to address a woman like that. But Jesus always breaks the rules and goes against man’s thinking when He wants to accomplish something. She was looking for something to satisfy the craving in her soul. Relationships had not brought it (as seen in her 5 husbands, plus other men she no doubt had known). But Jesus had what she needed and gave her that living water of salvation to drink. He worked with her gently, not condemning her, but getting her to examine herself and see her own need. Then He filled it. He can do the same for you and fill the longing in your heart. No matter who you are, when Jesus speaks to you, He points out your need and makes you feel as if He knows all you’ve ever done. He offers you salvation to quench your thirst for the world. You just have to take the drink. Like
