Mar 4 We were very much encouraged today in our home meeting as nearly 50 people (including children) gathered in to worship God in spirit and in truth. We had three first-time visitors present in the meeting. The congregational singing was anointed and very edifying. The Spirit of God was at liberty to move among us and His presence was felt by all. Some of the saints have recently been through some difficult trials and it is refreshing to come among people who demonstrate God’s love one towards another. Bro Dale led a lesson on “Little is much, when God is in it.” He pointed out that God is looking for little people to work through. He illustrated this thought with many real situations in the Bible, including the needy widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7, the widow’s cruse of oil and handful of meal in 1Kings 17:10-16, Gideon’s army, David and Goliath, and the lad’s lunch of 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread. In all of these cases, God used something little and made it big. During the lesson, a trio sang the song titled the same as the message title. The saints joined in as we all sang:
Little is much when God is in
it! Let us ever be found with a spirit of humility for when we are small, God can use us. When we begin to feel sufficient in ourselves, or think too highly of ourselves, God cannot use us in His kingdom. |
