Mar 11, 2007 Sunday Morning:

We had a blessed meeting this morning. God was lifted up by the testimonies of the saints. Much praise was offered up, for surely God is doing great things!

The message this morning was about God’s Come-Outers”. The scripture text was taken from 2 Cor 6:14-18, 2 Cor 7:1  Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

God has always had come-outers. Clear back from when the Israelites were captives in Egypt, or when they had been carried away to Babylon, God has always called his people out of less than desirable conditions. The early Christians were come-outers from Judaism. The Gentile converts were Pagan come-outers. In fact every saved person is a come-outer! We have come from sin and from the world.

The early pioneers were come-outers. This was the most common name that was attached to them. They had come out of spiritual Babylon, or a state of confusion. Around the 1950’s, there were many come-outers from the more liberal holiness churches.

Bro Dale showed that God is not against all separation. Jesus said in Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division.

Where do come-outers come to? The answer is very simple: they come to Christ, and Him alone. Matthew 11:28-30  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. All believers are to be attached to the Head and find their place in the body. When we are attached to the Head, we think like Christ!

Once we come out, and really get out, we will never go back. Don’t let anyone try to make you feel guilty for being a come-outer. 1Peter 4:12-14  Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

I once was in bondage in Egypt's dark night
But Jesus has led me out into the Light.
He Banished my sin and has made my heart right,
I'll never go back again!
