Children's Discipleship Class
Report Mar 14, 2007:
The children love
these bible studies focused on them, with topics broken down simply that
they can understand no matter if they are 6 or 15. Also, the home
studies provide an environment where the children are more comfortable
to express their prayer burdens, lead out in prayer, or ask questions if
they don’t understand. These interactive times are shaping our
children’s future.
Romans 12:10 Be
kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love
Luke 6:32 And as
you would that men should do to you, do you also to them likewise.
Philippians 2:3-4 …in
lowliness of mind, let each esteem the other better than themselves.
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things
of others.
While some things
aren’t spelled out in the bible with chapter and verse, God gives
guidelines and principles in His Word and then wisdom to know how to
apply them to our life. The subject of Manners is one example. All
manners come from these verses above and deal with the idea of Christian
service – looking out for and loving your neighbor as yourself, being
kind, and treating others the way you want to be treated. Lack of
manners demonstrate selfishness on our part.
We should always try
to live with J-O-Y. That is Jesus first, yourself last, and others
in-between. Putting others before yourself will guarantee that we
demonstrate Christian love and manners towards others.
