Biblical Eldership
Did God ordain
that only one man oversee all spiritual matters in a local assembly? Why
are the words "bishop", "deacon", & "elder" seldom used in
Bible-believing
churches
today, yet the word "pastor" (singular) is commonly used, but never
mentioned in the New Testament (KJV)? Did God ordain that there be just
one "pastor" per local assembly?
What
evidence really exists in the New Testament for the
"one-pastor" governing model? Is it possible that the hierarchy
structure that clearly exists in Roman Catholicism and nearly every
Protestant denomination has been accepted without question among
Bible-believing churches?
