Report: Aug 5, 2006

The Spirit of God was certainly in our midst during the last service of this outreach effort. We had visitors from the local community and Bro Cory Mosley, pastor of Shorter Chapel AME, shared in this service as well. We were glad to have some of the saints from Possum Road Church of God, as well as others in attendance.

Bro Joe Coons brought an anointed message entitled "Jesus Saves From Sin". He explained that true salvation is deliverance from sin, not in sin. He pointed out that our burden is to proclaim this message to anyone who is willing to listen. This is the great commission that Jesus gave us, and we are loving every minute of it!

There were those in attendance throughout this meeting who asked about our future plans. Lord willing, we will be holding outreach meetings such as this often. For the present, we are focused on South Charleston, Ohio. We will be having weekly discipleship classes on Sunday evenings at Shorter Chapel. Also, on Wednesday evenings, we are holding services in various people homes or in other public places. Everyone is invited to come and be in attendance at any of these services. We have times of Bible study, interactive question and answer secessions, prayer, sharing and planning. Please remember us in prayer as we endeavor to carry out what God has called all of us to do. Praise God for all that accomplished in this, our first public Gospel Outreach Meeting.
