Thank God for the
South Charleston, Ohio Outreach meeting! There was a
good spirit in the singing with many special songs by
various individuals, as well as inspired congregational
singing. Although the old upright piano is badly out of
tune, the saints lifted up their voices in beautiful
harmony. Sis Wattleton brought a message on the
necessity of preaching the Gospel. She mentioned several
of the fundamental teachings of the Scripture and
provided personal examples of particular instances in
her life. She encouraged us to continue on with these
outreach efforts as they are an avenue of spreading the
good news.
We are thankful for all who have responded to
invitations to come and hear the good news of the
Gospel. There were about 40 people in attendance, which
was more than the night before. We were also thankful to
have another pastor of one of the local South Charleston
churches attend this service. We enjoyed meeting Bro
McCarty and look forward to many more conversations and
times of fellowship. A little child prayed and later
proclaimed "I have Jesus in my heart now!". May
she
ever stay true to God.
After the service, refreshments were served and
everyone enjoyed meeting new people and renewing old
acquaintances. We are thankful for the support of saints
from Buxton Avenue Church of God, Washington Court House
Church of God, & Possum Road Church of God. Surely, the
body of Christ must work together in a greater way to
reach a lost and dying world. That is
our mission!
