Bro Paul Dennis

Down here my burden's heavy
And the road is rough and long
Sometimes my feet get weary and so sore
But a brighter day is coming
Soon I'll rest on Heaven's shore
And I won't have to worry anymore

Someday when life is over
And I've said my last good bye
I'll see my Savior standing at the door
He'll say "my child your welcome
All your cares are left behind"
And I won't have to worry anymore

Oh I won't have to worry
When I reach the other shore
All my troubles will be over
And I rest forevermore
My eyes will be on Jesus
And my heart will be a glow
And I won't have to worry anymore

Bro Paul Dennis passed away today, July 16, 2008. Bro Paul was a godly man who dedicated his life in service to God at Possum Road Church of God. Never was there a job or task too big or too small for him. Whether it was mowing the grass, locking up after service, turning off the sanctuary lights, singing in the choir, serving on the trustee board, all of these services, and many more, were part of his chosen responsibility. He was the congregational "work horse" and used his talents and abilities to further the work of God. He was a man with the spiritual gift of "helps" (1Cor 12:28).

In his younger years, he played the guitar and sang the above song. Well, Bro Paul, your day of rapture has now come! No need to worry anymore, but you will be sadly missed!
