be honored, all the members rejoice with it."
Tonight,
we celebrated three of the saints birthdays! Sis Dillow, Sis Barbie
and Brio Sam all have birthdays this week. About forty of us met in
a home and had a short meeting. All the birthday members requested
songs and we sang them together. Bro Joe brought a few thoughts
about the care that we receive from the Lord,
1Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of
God, that he may exalt you in due time. Casting all your care
upon him; for he careth for you.
We had
quite a few visitors there, including Bro Joe's father. It was great
to have him there for the first time. He got to meet the saints and
really enjoyed himself. We had a love feast and a birthday cake
after the meeting.
"Church"
is not so much about preaching and singing, but rather it is about
having genuine concern for one another and having a relationship
that goes beyond just being acquainted with one another.
I fear
no successful contradiction when I say that the saints are closer
now than we have ever been. We have a love for each other that
cannot be torn apart. To know the saints is to love the saints.
