Inches From Heaven To Hell.
Tonight, we had a
discussion about the differences between "head religion" and "heart
religion". While there is just 18" between our brain and our heart,
these two types of religions are miles apart. One will result in
eternity with God and the other in a place where no one should ever
want to go.
2Timothy
3:1,4-5,7 This know also, that in the last days perilous times
shall come. For men shall be.... Traitors, heady,
highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having
a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such
turn away. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge
of the truth.
Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are
the issues of life.
We are
planning to write a tract on this subject, so this evening our
entire assembly, ranging from 9 years old to 75 years (soon to be),
brainstormed and came up with a list of characteristics that
describe both types of religion. It is amazing how complete of a
list you can get when everyone participates.
Below are the results of
our Brain-Storming secession.
