"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." - Col 3:16 Today, we met at the C. J. Brown Reservoir and reserved a shelter house for the morning meeting. We were thankful to have the Rice family from Morganton, NC with us. They were in Ohio for a family reunion yesterday and we invited them to come and sing. We enjoyed their singing and their ministering gift. It is a rare thing to see families working together in the kingdom of God, so we are particularly thankful for the Rices and their labor of love. They are an encouragement to us. We are also thankful that Sis Janie's sister and other family members were able to be with us this morning. Also, Beth was able to bring her little baby out for the first time. After the gathering, we shared a love feast together. It was a great time of fellowship and sharing. Although it was a bit chilly outside, we were warmed in our hearts by the thoughts and songs that were shared this morning. |
