If we walk in the light, as he is in the light,

Once a year, in January, there is a large Bridal Show that takes place at the Marriott where we usually assemble together. Eager brides-to-be are afforded the opportunity to look at the latest fashion trends and get wedding ideas for their up coming weddings. Today was that day and the Marriot had all of their conference rooms rented out Thankfully we always know about this big Bridal event in advance and can therefore make other arrangements for meeting together on this particular day.

In years past on this day, we have just gathered in the saint's homes rather than at the Marriott, but this year, we decided to do something different. We decided to make a special effort to fellowship with other believers this day.  As all God's children make up the bride of Christ, we dismissed our assemblies and instead gathered with other believers, as the Lord led each individual. Some of the saints assembled with other saints from out of State (4 different States, including Ohio), some with saints from other cities and yet others met with local assemblies.

No one is an island unto themselves and we are called to let our lights shine no matter where we are at.  Today, we took our lights and made the world a little brighter place. As we have sung for many years, we reached our hands out in fellowship to many other blood washed ones.
