We're back from our vacations and back into the assembly of the saints. It was good to back with God's people. We miss the saints when we are away. We were glad to have some visitors with us this morning for our gathering.

Bro Dale led a discussion about the Essence of God. We talked about His character and His attributes. The phrase "Essence of God" is a theological term used to refer to God's personal characteristics. Sometimes the term "Attributes of God" is used to refer to God's essence. The "attributes", or the "essence", of God are His primary characteristics, so they cannot be completely communicated to man. They can be described to a degree, but they cannot be fully defined.

We discussed His primary attribute of love. God IS Love. We also talked His sovereignty, righteousness, justice, omniscience omnipresence, and His omnipotence.
