This morning, in an absolutely beautiful setting with ideal weather
conditions, we celebrated Father’s Day by gathering at the Shelter
House at Buck Creek State Park. There were 50 in attendance, with
about 8 first time visitors. It was a time of sharing and many
expressions of love were evident among the saints. Some expressed
interest on attending future meetings and were excited to hear about
our approach to outreach.
After a time of singing familiar old hymns and worship songs, Bro
Dillow brought a lesson and focused his theme on The Lord’s Pray. As
this prayer first addressed Our Heavenly Father, it seemed to fit
the occasion well. Bro Joe learned a new song and taught it to all
those in attendance.
You can hear a similar rendition of this song by clicking the YouTube link

After the lesson, we shared in a love feast. The children played
games and the adults shared memories, testimonies of deliverance and
fellowship in the Spirit. It has become quite evident to those who
visit that we are a close knit assembly and that genuine love flows
from heart to heart among us. John 13:35 By this shall all men
know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
We
are thankful that our extended family members are joining with us
for meetings such as this. A couple of them even testified and
expressed their thanksgiving for their dad, Bro Dillow and the
manner in which they were raised.
We
will be posting pictures soon, so please check back.
