Encourage one another, and build each other up…. 

So go the words of the children’s praise song we often hear on the radio.  And how fitting with this mornings lesson on the tongue.  Today, Bro Dillow led a discussion on the power of the tongue and the positive effect it can have on others.  It can be used to encourage, to bless, and to share knowledge.  What a powerful instrument; a stimulus to prod us onward.  I’m sure we can all agree that if it hadn’t been for the encouragement (via the tongue) of someone, we would not have pursued a course of action.  The tongue can have such a great influence on the direction we take.  When used in a positive way, it brings positive results.  It is like a fountain, spraying out water.  And as the book of James says – let it bring forth good water in our lives and the lives of others.  May our prayer always be: 

May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable unto you oh my God (Ps 19:14).
