Sunday Morning, Mar 30, 2008,

This morning, due to the absence of several families, we opted to meet in the home.  As we all crowded in the living room, we were reminded why God blessed us with a meeting room at the Marriott.  Sometimes a home is not quite large enough, yet the atmosphere is so homey there is much opportunity to get to know each other better.  People tend to relax and be themselves more in such an environment, making it easier to share and minister to needs.

This morning we talked about how we are Made For A Mission – that God has a plan for all of our lives and wants us to devote our life on earth to that plan.  We discussed how to discover that plan based on our gifting, desires, personality, and even our background.  There was input from several in our gathering.  The lesson was mainly directed towards the youth to help them discover God’s will as they get older.  We trust all of them will find and follow HIS plan for their lives.

The meeting was followed with a time of food and fellowship. Like a properly functioning body, everybody brought something to share with someone else and there was plenty to go around!

In the afternoon, the children played and the adults discussed things of interest. What rich fellowship we have one with another. It is in an open setting like this where body edification really takes place. The saints sharing their individual burdens, their difficulties, their victories with one another and also giving seasoned advice to each other.  You learn to appreciate each other more when you know more about each other.

The meeting ended at about 4:30 PM. It was a good day in the Lord.
