Sunday Morning, October 11, 2009,
For this thing I
besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He said
unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength in made
perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my
infirmities, that the power of Christ rest upon me. Therefore I take
pleasure in infirmities, in necessities, in persecutions, in
distresses for Christ sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. -
Paul
This morning, Sis
Joanne led a discussion and pointed out that sometimes our biggest
weakness can become our greatest strength through the power of
Christ.
Many times, we don't think of God giving us infirmity, but Paul said
in 2 Cor 12:7-10, there was given me a thorn in the flesh...
God has promised us STRENGTH in WEAKNESS! We need never fear nor
fail! Christ strength will empower us to overcome even in our
darkest hour of need! FOR God never fails.
Jesus Christ is our strength in trials severe and we are perfected
into his image. Where there is weakness, distress and calamity,
there is power to overcome.
Christ's strength is imparted unto those who feel their weakness and
need of Divine aid. It is in our weakness that Jesus, Christ our
Redeemer manifests his power to uphold, lift us up, and administer
grace in the time of need!
We joy in our tribulations knowing Christ is with us and pain
actually becomes pleasure!
