His Yoke is Easy...His Burden Light..... I found it so!

This morning we discussed the beautiful passage found in Matthew 11:28-30. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

We discovered that the context of this passage was not written for Christians but for those who in ancient Bible cities that had opportunity to witness the mighty works of Jesus, yet refused to repent. If this is true, what should our attitude be towards those who do not heed to truth? Jesus requested that they come to Him. If Jesus was willing to offer repentance for those who had ample opportunity, yet refused Him, how much more will he help those who have sought Him?

We also talked about a yoke and how it worked to bind two oxen together.
