On January 10, 2008, Trevor Beam, (8 yrs old), was out in the barn
lot with his brothers getting silage ready for the animals. They
were using the tractor to operate the forage wagon when Trevor
climbed into the wagon. Inside the wagon (pictured above) there is a
conveyer-belt system that moves toward three rotating shafts with
6-inch spikes on them, or "beaters" as some call them. He got too
close and his coat got snagged by one of the spikes which pulled him
into the rotating bars. He went through the mechanism once before
the oldest brother could shut the tractor off. He was hanging from
the top shaft, stripped from the waist down of all clothing,
including his shoes, with both legs split open and mangled from the
knees down. The left leg was broken, a spike pierced his chest,
narrowly missing his heart and stopping at the lungs, a gash on top
of his head, and both calves of his legs ripped open and mangled.
the right leg was missing most of the calf skin, but it was found
and reattached a few days later to the left leg.
God has worked a medical
miracle in his recovery! Come and hear his story and be blessed. His
family will also be singing and sharing in testimony.
