This
week, we received two special visitors. One was a pastor from
Birmingham, Alabama and the other from Muncie, Indiana. The
brothers felt led of the Lord to come and visit with us in order
to meet us face to face. They had come in contact with some
literature that we had put together and from that literature
they felt that we shared the same vision and burden that they
have. The brother from Birmingham made the 12 hour trip and
stopped in Indiana meet up with the other pastor. The next
afternoon, this past Thursday, they traveled to Springfield,
Ohio to meet with us. After the meeting, they traveled back to
Indiana and then the brother traveled on back to Birmingham. 2
days, 28 hours of traveling!
You
don’t travel that far to meet someone whom you have never known
without a real burden!
The
primary reason for their visit was to speak to us about how we
might work together and establish practical working
fellowship between us. We shared with each other for about 4
hours and had a very open and frank discussion. From the time we
first met, we felt that God had directed the meeting and clearly
we are likeminded and share the same burden.
We
have made plans to work together and more specific plans are
being prayed over. It is wonderful how God is uniting the hearts
of people from all backgrounds to come together for one common
purpose, the building up of the kingdom of God and reaching the
lost. |
